7th Grade Teacher
Sarah Lawn started teaching at St. Maria Goretti in 2018. For the past few years, she taught in the Learning Resource department. This year, she is a 7th grade homeroom teacher along with teaching Com Arts classes for 6th-8th graders and Pre-algebra for 8th graders.
She grew up in Lake Zurich, Illinois and attended Catholic grade school and high school. After high school, she attended Eastern Illinois University and earned her bachelor's degrees in Special Education and Elementary Education. After graduating, she married her husband Chris, and taught Special Education in a self contained 5th grade classroom in Wauconda, Illinois.
In 2003, they had their first child and moved to Madison. She was fortunate enough to be able to stay home for fifteen years while their family grew. They currently live in the town of Middleton and have five kids; Madelyn, Laura, Evan, Greta and Kiersten. Their two oldest daughters attend Middleton High School and their three younger children attend St. Maria Goretti.
They have been parish members of St. Maria Goretti for nearly 16 years. As a family, they love to travel, camp, bike, and be outside.
