6th Grade Teacher
Dave Perkins began teaching at St. Maria Goretti in 2012. Before teaching here, he was a fifth grade teacher at Edgewood Campus School.
He is originally from Racine, Wisconsin and went to St. Catherine's High School. After graduating high school, he attended St. Norbert College where he earned a bachelor's degree in Sociology. He then moved to Madison and earned his teaching certification at Edgewood College. In 2009, he decided to return to Edgewood College and pursue his master's degree in Educational Leadership.
Along the way, he worked in higher education and retail, but his passion for working with children lead him to St. Maria Goretti. He feels blessed to work in such a great environment every day. In addition to teaching, he is passionate about coaching soccer and has been active in the Madison soccer community for the last 17 years.
Dave and his wife, Melissa, have two beautiful children, Stella (4 years), Myles (2 years), and two energetic Boston Terriers (Maya and Lily). When he is not spending time with his family, he is cheering on his beloved Packers, Badgers, Brewers, and Chelsea F.C.
