Anne Mortensen grew up in New Lisbon, a small town about 30 minutes north of Wisconsin Dells. After graduating from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, she taught sixth grade in Sheboygan Falls, Wisconsin.
Anne and her husband moved to Madison in 1993, and joined St. Maria Goretti Parish in 1995. Anne has been connected with the school since her oldest child started at St. Maria Goretti in 1998. She started substitute teaching at St. Maria Goretti in 2002, took a full-time fifth grade position in 2003, and transitioned to the middle school science teacher in 2019.
The Mortensens have three grown daughters—a veterinarian, a labor and delivery nurse, and a quality assurance software tester. She loves being with family and spending time outdoors.
