Knights of Columbus

Knights of Columbus at SMG
The Knights of Columbus is a fraternal order of Catholic men started in 1882 and has over 2 million members. Membership requirements are Catholic men over the age of 18 years and a commitment to the teachings of the Catholic Church.
Join the SMG Knights of Columbus chapter, Council 17889. The Knights are involved with our church through donations for community projects, supporting seminarians, and helping our youth.
Members or prospective members can visit the Knights of Columbus Wisconsin State Council website or the Supreme Knights of Columbus website. Prospective members can join online by clicking the join button on the Supreme website.
The Knights at SMG meet twice a month for a business/social meeting and spiritual development, along with contributing to service projects to the parish and our broader community.
Our current Grand Knight is Justin Knapp.
Family of the Month Nomination
Each month the Knights of Columbus would like to recognize a family from St. Maria Goretti parish that has modeled Catholic family values and visibly lives them every day.
Please nominate families you have seen:
- spending time in prayer
- contributing positively to the parish, school, or community
- spending quality time together
- otherwise being a good family!
Please note that although this program is sponsored by the Knights, nominations do not need to be for or from Knights of Columbus families.
Past families can be found here - Past families of the month

Support Our Parish
In gratitude for God’s generosity, we dedicate a sacrificial portion of our gifts of time, talent, and treasure to serve Christ and His Church by supporting the needs of our parish.
