Confirmation Prep

Confirmation Preparation (Year 1 & 2)

Confirmation Preparation is a 2-year program for students (Grade 8+) to prepare to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation. Preparation will be a process of study, prayer, and service to others. Candidates should understand that this process is a model for Christian living throughout their adult lives.

Program Information


Confirmation Year 1 (Grade 8+)

Registration

  • Enrollment in Family Catechesis - See Religious Education
    • Attend monthly sessions - Mondays at 4 p.m. or 6 p.m.
    • Family Registration Fee $85 and Family Catechesis $50
  • Enrollment in SMG School
    • No registration needed, will receive information during school's religion class
    • No fees, included in school tuition

  • Community Service (3 activities)
  • Adoration (6 visits to our Lord - 30 minute visits)

Sponsor/Candidate Virtual Sessions (4 sessions)


Confirmation Year 2 (Grade 9+)

Registration

  • Enrollment in Confirmation Preparation - See Religious Education
    • Attend sessions - Sunday mornings (9 a.m. Mass, followed by small group session until 11:15 a.m.) or Sunday evenings (6:30 - 8 p.m. small group session)
    • Confirmation Fee - $140 per student

  • Day Retreat at Camp Gray on December 11-12
  • Community Service (3 activities)
  • Adoration (6 visits to our Lord - 30 minute visits)

Sponsor/Candidate Monthly Sessions/Activities (7 sessions)

  • Nov - Watch Session 5 (Video A and Video B) and answer questions
  • Dec - Activity TBD
