Strengthening Catholic Families: 9-Part Series
Wednesdays, September 2019 - May 2020
6:30 - 7:30 p.m.
We invite all school and parish families to reinforce their skills as Catholic parents. The success of St. Maria Goretti is based on the success of our families. We find it very important to support our families with resources that build family bonds and strengthen the tools parents need in an ever-challenging world.
Justin Bangert, MS, LMFT is a Catholic Marriage and Family Therapist who, for more than eight years, has been professionally devoted to promoting healthy marriages, families, and communities from a Christian perspective. Monthly, from September through May, he will be presenting on various aspects of Catholic parenting. Topics will include faith, communication, social media usage, integral sexual development, and more.
Sessions are held on Wednesday evenings from 6:30 - 7:30 p.m. in the Parish Hall.

God calls us to relationships, and there is no deeper intended unity than that of a husband and wife. This presentation is designed to help couples deepen their understanding of the biblical perspective for marriage and to develop proven yet practical tools to build Christ-Centered marriages, which are the foundation of a healthy family.

From anxiety, anger and attitudes, to peers, social pressures and community breakdowns, navigating through life is not to be without struggle. Join us for a candid discussion of strategies to address common issues that may arise within our families and church communities.
- Wednesday, May 20 - Leaving a Legacy of Love (Faith, Hope and Love) - Canceled
We are meant to do more than just “survive” the life we have, rather we are called to overcome our obstacles and truly “thrive” as a result of stressful situations. Our children and the future generations are watching how we respond to the life we have, hopefully from a place of love that we share. Join the discussion on practical yet proven strategies to build resilience and grow from the hardships and challenges that life offers and ways to pass on a legacy of love.

About the Speaker
Justin Bangert is a licensed marriage and family therapist with over ten years of experience working with families, couples, individuals, children and adolescents in multiple settings including day-treatment centers, in-home facilities and outpatient service agencies.
He is devoted to helping people create a solid foundation for their significant relationships as well as their walk with the Lord that is based on friendship and trust, which will allow them to overcome their differences and essentially create a shared meaning throughout their journey of life together.
As a father of three and married for over a decade, he offers himself as a devoted Catholic, trying to live out God’s calling as a father, husband, family member, and contributor to the local church community.
