Venturing Program

Experience the Challenge and Thrill of High Adventure! Join the St. Maria Goretti Parish Venture Crew!

Young men and women, ages 14-20, and 13-year-olds who have graduated 8th grade, are invited to participate in trips such as canoeing the boundary waters of Canada, backpacking the mountains of New Mexico, or sailing as a crew member on a boat in the Florida Keys through our new Venturing Program. The national Venture program is owned and operated by the Boy Scouts of America, but Venturing is a separate and specific program from the traditional Boy Scout Program.

As part of America’s foremost young adult high adventure program, you will have the opportunity to learn many lifetime leadership and outdoor skills, develop hobbies, earn outdoor training and safety certificates, and apply for scholarships and awards, all within a Christian social atmosphere.

Our Venture Crew Open House for interested teens and parents will be Sunday, January 29 at 4:30 – 5:30 p.m. in the School Cafeteria.  Please RSVP to becky.phillips@stmariagoretti.org /298-2098.
