Catholicism Video Series

On Thursday, February 16, we will begin a five-week set of programs featuring the highly acclaimed Catholicism series. This series, containing 10 films in all, journeys with Fr. Robert Barron to more than 50 locations in 16 countries. By exploring the history of our faith in locations ranging from the sacred lands of Israel to the beating heart of Uganda, from the glorious shrines of Europe to the streets of Mexico, Kolkata, and New York City, viewers will learn what Catholics believe and why.

These films will also be shown on Monday evenings, beginning on February 27, as part of the Adult Faith Formation Program.

We will see the first five of the episodes this spring, with films shown on five consecutive weeks (with the exception of March 8). Titles and dates are:

  • Amazed and Afraid: The Revelation of God Become Man (February 16 and 27)
  • Happy Are We: The Teachings of Jesus (February 23 and March 5)
  • That Than Which Nothing Greater Can Be Thought – The Ineffable Mystery of God (March 1 and 12)
  • Our Tainted Nature's Solitary Boast: Mary, The Mother of God (March 15 and 19)
  • The Indispensable Men: Peter, Paul and the Missionary Adventure (March 22 and 25*)
The last evening session will be a Sunday (March 25) due to availability of Parish Hall.

Next fall’s titles include:

  • A Body Both Suffering and Glorious: The Mystical Union of Christ and Church
  • Word Made Flesh, True Bread of Heaven: The Mystery of the Liturgy and the Eucharist
  • A Vast Company of Witnesses: The Communion of Saints
  • The Fire of His Love: Prayer and the Life of the Spirit
