Autumn is a time of harvest and thanksgiving. Everywhere around us, we see a “gathering in” of the many gifts God has given to us. It is fitting then, that during this season, St. Maria Goretti Parish renews its contributions to the Annual Fund through its “A Fruitful Harvest” campaign. This effort will culminate with Commitment Weekend on November 14 &15.

Many of you already contribute regularly to support the Parish and we are very grateful to you. We have completed all of our facility improvements, including the new Parish Center and the expansion of our Parish School. In fact, we are already enjoying these great spaces! Now is the time for us to make provision for the care and maintenance of these new facilities. The Annual Fund provides the only operating funds for this growing, vibrant Parish, including salaries for our Parish staff, utilities, insurance, ongoing repairs and maintenance, and support for our Parish School. It is fitting that we return support to the Parish in gratitude for the spiritual, social, and educational support we enjoy every day. Won’t you contribute to assist us in this worthy goal??

Below are a few tools to aid you in consideration of committing to a consistent level of financial support to the Parish:

PLEDGE CARD - Please use the confidential pledge card to declare your intention of financial support for the year. It is extremely important that you return the card as it will enable our staff to budget for expenses effectively. Even if you are not able to give at this time, please fill out a card. We offer many convenient ways to pay your pledge and are willing to work with you on any special accommodation.

 

LEVEL OF GIVING - We suggest an annual gift of at least 2% of your household income. We are very grateful to those who are able to give more. Costs have risen 5% in 2009. If you have given at a consistent level for several years, please consider increasing your pledge this year. For example, a pledge of $50/month, increased by 5% adds only $2.50/month. COMMITMENT - Commitment Weekend is November 14 &15. By placing your pledge card in the yellow boxes in the gathering space or mailing them to the Parish office, you are ensuring that we can plan effectively to maintain all that we have come to enjoy here at St. Maria Goretti Parish. Your pledge is completely confidential and quarterly updates will be provided to you by mail for your own records.

Please help us achieve our budget goals by turning in your PLEDGE CARD this year.

Over the next two weeks, we will present information on the current budget for the parish. Should you have specific questions as you are preparing your pledge, please do not hesitate to contact the parish office.

We are all aware of the current economic conditions. We are working very hard to hold down our expenses.Please take the time to prayerfully consider how much you can give back to our Parish from the gifts God has given to you. Only through the generosity of its members can St. Maria Goretti Parish continue to support the vibrant faith community we are so fortunate to have.
